A native of Tucson, Kristina Olivarez moved to Portland, OR, in 2006 and attended massage training at East West College. She later transitioned back to Tucson in 2011 to be closer to her friends and family, and completed her massage coursework at Cortiva Institute. In addition to her foundational training, she pursued continuing education in the following modalities: cupping/Gua Sha, CranioSacral, myofascial release, deep tissue, hot stones, and is now an FDN Practitioner (Functional Diagnostic Nutrition ®) . While living in Portland, she discovered sensory deprivation tanks, also known as floatation tank therapy, and was so impressed that she decided to bring the practice to Tucson. The idea of sensory deprivation as a form of therapy resonated with Kristina’s lifelong interest in self-help and personal transformation. Her dream finally became a reality in 2015 when she started Levity and began offering sensory deprivation therapy to local Tucsonans. In 2016, she expanded her practice into a full wellness center, consisting of Sensory Deprivation Therapy, Far Infrared Sauna, BioScan, Massage Therapy, and FDN (Functional Diagnostic Nutrition ®).
